Who knows what this is going to become?  I sure don’t.  I didn’t set this up with a plan.  In fact, the whole idea was to let it run and see where it goes.  I suspect that means I’ll be popping in from time to time and editing this description, but in the meantime, I’m probably going to be about as random as a Buddhist monk riding bareback on an elk.

What are the random thoughts of a thirtysomething Zen Christian pseudogeek with a paladin complex?  Well, if you’re reading what I post, then you’re already seeing it.  I’ll be posting things that cross my mind, or thoughts I’ve been going over for months or aspects of my life I never expected, along with commentary and, of course, flexing my braincells with some writing exercises.  But if you’re asking for specifics, let’s break this down a bit.

• Random Thoughts:  Meaning I might post just about anything here.
• Thirtysomething:  Remember that show, the one from back in the early nineties?  Yeah, I was about twenty then, and never really considered I might actually be that age some day…
• Zen Christian:  More to come on this soon, but my personal philosophy is simple:  Faith works hand in hand with life.  Understanding, however, comes through experience, and so the basis behind a “Zen Christian” is one who has come to be more like Christ through his (or her) experiences.
• Pseudogeek:  I’d like to say I’m a geek.  I’d proudly wear the badge.  But geeks have a niche, and I’ve never quite filled any of them.  Computers, Star Trek, Comic Books, Cars, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings… there’s so much about geek culture that resonates with me, but I’ve never devoted enough mindpower to any one aspect to really geek out at it.  I guess you could say I’m a “Jack of all trades, Geek of none”.
• Paladin Complex:  Like… D&D Paladins.  Lawful good.  Not meaning I’m some goody two-shoes, initials in your undies, fight the red dragon guy.  But I don’t much like seeing slimeballs taking advantage of people, or prejudice, or theft, or… well, you get the idea.  I don’t have a problem standing up for the little guy.  And when you’re my size, everyone else is the little guy.

Graphics.  Art (if that’s what you want to call it).  Writing snippets.  Rants.  Reviews.  Links to things I find interesting.  You’ll find what amounts to an online snapshot of who I am…
