Two Truths Forward, One Lie Back!
It’s Wednesday, and while many of you might be extolling the wonderification of “hump day” (called such not due to the large amount of mid-week sexual activity, but because the week is sometimes seen as a hill, with everything after Wednesday being coasting down the far end), the day after Tuesday takes on a whole different meaning here at the Project. That’s right, every Wednesday I let you know which two of the three statements about myself made the previous week were true, and which was the lie. And if you’re lucky (and you’re always lucky, aren’t you?), I’ll give you another three to prep you for next week.
Onward, to find great truth!
Let’s start with the famous people. I’ve spoken with a few in my life, and the three listed in last week’s first truth are all among the list. Richard Simmons and Jesse Ventura were both phone conversations when I called in to radio shows – Simmons was a guest on some program back in the early nineties, talking about weight loss, and Ventura was on his “Lunch with the Governor” show every Friday when I was working up in Minnesota. David Carradine, on the other hand, was face to face; he was a guest celebrity at GenCon back in 2004. I also managed to chat with Marc Singer (from Beastmaster) and Virginia Hey (from Farscape), but that’s all about being a geek, right?
Nobody guessed that one. Smart people!
However, I’m going to have to disappoint Shelli here. I do indeed have an extra tooth; it grew in above my right upper canine and has, on more than one occasion, been used to pop the top off a bottle. Weird, huh? It would be much stranger, of course, for me to claim I use it to pierce the necks of virginal women so I could drink their blood, but hey, I’m just not that kind of guy.
As for the lie, it looks like Just Meee and Laura are getting good at this! I have never bungee jumped, and I really don’t want to start trying it now. Nor do I think they’d let me, all things considered, but I do believe they have heavy-duty harnesses and cords for the girth-enhanced, such as myself.
Now… two more truths, one more lie.
- I used to be paid a pretty hefty hourly wage to do little more than play Blizzard’s Diablo II – and I didn’t work for Blizzard.
- There is a bloodthirsty killer in me: I’ve slaughtered chickens, lambs, and deer for the sake of their meat.
- I have never watched E.T. in either its original form or the politically correct computer redub from a couple years back.
Let’s see if you can puzzle this one out!
I’m calling B.S. on this one – the Blizzard and Diablo thing. They do most of their tech support in-house and you strongly do not avocate game ‘cheats’ like gold selling.
The meat thing… I see that being one of your things, and I think I can argue that you have many times digitally.
As for the E.T. thing [[ this portion edited out by Simon to keep others guessing... ]]
I CALL – CHEATING ! ! ! !
But here is my guess…
#1 – I used to be paid a pretty hefty hourly wage to do little more than play Blizzard’s Diablo II – and I didn’t work for Blizzard. (I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT ANY OF THAT MEANS… BUT IF SHELLY IS GUESSING THAT (SO WILL I) BECAUSE OF SECRETS SHARED IN SOME DARK AND DANK DUNGEON ON A FULL MOON WHEN THE BAR TENDER ADMITTED THAT YOU WERE OVER-SERVED)?! ! !
#2 -There is a bloodthirsty killer in me: I’ve slaughtered chickens, lambs, and deer for the sake of their meat. (I BELIEVE THAT YOU WOULD DO THIS, NOT EVER SEEING A PHOTO (as I requested multple times)… IT IS JUST SPECULATION ON MY PART).
#3 – I have never watched E.T. in either its original form or the politically correct computer redub from a couple years back. (I CAN’T BELIEVE THAT ANYONE WITH SUCH A SOFT HEARTED AURA… AND A SOFT HEAD WOULD NOT HAVE SUCCEEDED IN LIFE WITHOUT WATCHING THIS)… tee hee

my guess of which one is a lie (inspite of what the others think)that you have never watched ET in any form or perhaps that you have a blood thristy kill instinct and you have slaughtered all sorts of creatures just to eat their meat.
heck I don’t know perhaps the hefty hourly wage playing what amounts to computer games. it’s is just too difficult and i’m under the weather today.
